In particular, the possibility of creating an archive in its 7-Zip (7z), reducing the files even 45% of their size (on large files), is very useful. But I must say that if it is very high performance has some shortcomings like the encryption and non-existent chance of recovering corrupted files or archives. It's can only create a password to protect archive, however, can be developed in various formats : 7z, ZIP, GZIP, BZIP2, TAR. On the 7-ZIP official site you will find various download versions for WINDOWS, LINUX, MAC.
